Since its inception in 1978, MCI has sustained its position as the industry's leading developer of microelectronic coils by maintaining an unparalleled record of delivery and performance.
Behind this record is a carefully controlled production process that incorporates the highest possible standards of material selection and quality control from incoming inspection to final assembly, packaging and delivery.
To assure the quickest possible response to customer requirements, MCI maintains a wide inventory of basic materials, including copper, gold and nickel copper alloys, as well as specialty metals that include silver, gold-plated copper and wire that is both nickel plated and gold plated.
All materials are bought in accordance with military specifications, regardless of application. They are then subjected to acceptance tests which typically exceed these specifications as well as those of the customer. These tests take the form of a first article demonstration, where a test configuration is produced for the purpose of verifying such important parameters as wire elongation and coating properties.
During the production process, MCI uses machines that are custom designed to meet these very demanding requirements. The process itself takes place in a tightly controlled environment designed to eliminate dust and impurities. Frequent inspection steps assure the tightest possible control of quality and configuration integrity. The result is an exceptional yield that has resulted in virtually no customer rejections.
MCI supplements this tightly-controlled in-house production capability with the services of an engineering staff that can discuss your design requirements in a knowledgeable and helpful manner. Assistance of this nature may be obtained at any time by contacting your local area representative or by calling the MCI sales department directly.
