For the sake of consistency, the part number for every MCI coil is divided into the same categories mentioned above and expressed in the same sequence as discussed. Using Design Guide as a source of information, a part number for your specific design can be created by simply selecting the appropriate numerical categories, once you have determined your parameters.
As an example, let's assume that your requirement calls for an inductance value of 64 nh. In order to create a component with this value, it is determined that the specifications call for wire made out of coated gold, with 15 turns bonded together, an inside dimension of .018 in. and a wire gauge number of 47. Referring to Design Guide, the part number would be developed as follows:
